Like so many other people, Becky began practicing yoga to build strength and increase flexibility. But what started out as a physical practice evolved into a much deeper practice of integrating mind, body and breath in the same time frame to truly appreciate the joy of yoga. Becky’s teaching style is to flow smoothly, moving into poses with alignment, holding poses and gently encouraging students to allow their minds to follow their breath. She feels that practicing yoga postures keeps our bodies young, strong and flexible but the attention to our breath is what quiets the mind. It is her most sincere goal to teach yoga safely to all levels of practitioners and have her students leave each class feeling stronger, a little more flexible and a lot more content.
Becky completed her teacher training in 2008 with Suddha Weixler at the Chicago Yoga Center and is certified with Yoga Alliance. She continues to study all aspects of yoga, regularly attends workshops and loves sharing all that she learns. She is most grateful to all of her instructors and students, as each has given her tools to teach with awareness and continue her own yoga practice with a beginner’s mind.
